The Rovers' unbeaten run in the league came to an end as two first-half goals from the hosts at Master Park all but gave them a confident win despite one second-half goal from the Blues.
Just as the game on the same ground last season, Oxted & District opened the scoring early in the first half to take the lead. They doubled their lead close to the half-time whistle.
The hosts took control again in a less eventful second half and always looked the more likely to score the game's third goal. However Jonathan Boateng grabbed a goal from a corner after some confusion in the penalty box.
The result makes it our first loss in all competitions. We look to bounce back against Sporting 50 as we invite the visitors to King's House Sports Ground this Saturday.
Petar made many changes from the team that started in the win against AFC Sutton Common Rovers Reserves last week, with Ilija returning from injury to replace Daniel in goal. Jake Bailey returns as left back instead of Jie, where our captain played in temporarily against AFC Sutton Common Rovers. Jason returns to right back with Jonathan and Amin hold their positions in central defense. With Jie and JC out due to injury, Abraham partners Sajjaad in central midfield with Facundo behind our striker Joshua. Giorgio and Geroge take places on either flank to support our attack. Juan, Alvaro, and Shairfgan all start from the bench.
Chelsea Rovers (4-3-3) Ilija; Shairfgan, Amin, Jonathan (c), Jake; Sajjaad, Abraham, Facundo, Giorgio, Jason; Joshua
